Can I run one DB-SA275D2 at 1 ohm?
Yes. Wire both 2 ohm coils in parallel and a single sub presents a 1 ohm load. That is the main reason to choose the D2 over the D1.
Is this a 3000 watt RMS subwoofer?
No. It handles 1500 watts RMS continuously and 3000 watts as a peak rating. Match your amplifier to the 1500W RMS figure.
How is the D2 different from the D1?
Same cone, motor and power handling. The difference is the coils: the D2 uses dual 2 ohm coils (1 or 4 ohm final), while the D1 uses dual 1 ohm coils (2 or 0.5 ohm final). The D2 also has slightly different parameters, including 88.2 dB sensitivity and a 31.3 Hz Fs.
