Factory Retained Features: The PAC RP5-GM61 allows you to retain the following factory features when replacing the factory installed radio with a new aftermarket head unit
Factory Bose Amplifier: The PAC RP5-GM61 will retain your vehicle's factory installed Bose amplifier with fader and balance control. It is also compatible with non-amplified factory audio systems.
OnStar & Bluetooth: This radio replacement interface is designed to retain the factory OnStar emergency services system and turn-by-turn voice prompts that would normally be lost when your factory radio is replaced by an aftermarket head unit. The interface also lets you keep your vehicle's factory installed Bluetooth microphone and control.
Backup Camera w/ Park Assist Retention: The interface retains your vehicle's factory back-up camera; the included camera harness plugs into the composite video camera input on the back of your aftermarket head unit. In addition, you get to keep your vehicle's factory back-up sensor/park assist functionality.
Aux Input: The PAC radio replacement interface also allows you to retain the factory AUX Input jack. The included set of RCA plugs will pass the audio from the factory input jack to your aftermarket radio. Your new aftermarket radio must have a rear-panel aux input. A stereo RCA to minijack adapter may be required and sold separately.
Steering Wheel Controls: The PAC radio replacement interface lets you keep your GM vehicle's factory steering wheel controls (no additional adapter required, but some hardwiring in the vehicle's dash may be required). You even get to program two radio functions to each SWC button by using short press long press dual command functionality.
R.A.P. & Warning Chimes: The ignition power source of many GM vehicles keeps the radio on until one of the doors is opened. This feature is called the R.A.P. (retained accessory power). The RP5-GM61 will retain this feature. The PAC RP5-GM61 will also retain your vehicle's factory warning chimes through the included external chime module.
Navigation Outputs: The PAC radio replacement interface provides a VSS (vehicle speed sense), Parking Brake, and a Reverse Gear output to make installing an aftermarket Navigation radio simpler and less time consuming.
RadioPRO App: PAC offers a Windows compatible RadioPRO App software program to help you configure the interface.
