DS18 DXTC 2" Encapsulated Dome Tweeter - Ceramic Diaphragm, Neodymium, 4-Ohm with External Crossover DS18
The DS18 DXTC is a 2-inch encapsulated dome tweeter for listeners who want clear, detailed high frequencies. It runs at 4 ohms with 88 dB sensitivity and is rated from 25 watts AES to 100 watts peak, with 40 to 50 watts RMS recommended.
A ceramic diaphragm and neodymium magnet give it accurate, long-lasting performance, while a polyimide voice coil former with aluminum winding adds durability. DS18 lists a frequency response of 250 Hz to 20 kHz.
An external 12 dB/octave passive crossover is included to block damaging bass frequencies and keep the tweeter clean. Its compact size makes it easy to tuck into most installs.
