Rated at 3,500 watts RMS and 7,000 watts maximum power, the CARBON18.2D combines exceptional power handling with a high-excursion design to move massive amounts of air and produce deep, powerful bass. Its dual 2-ohm voice coil configuration provides flexible wiring options, allowing installers to configure the subwoofer for different amplifier loads, including 1-ohm parallel or 4-ohm series configurations.
The CARBON18.2D combines premium materials with a powerful motor structure designed to handle extreme power while maintaining reliable performance. Its carbon-fiber cone and carbon-fiber dust cap provide a lightweight and rigid diaphragm designed for controlled movement and responsive bass reproduction. A 3.5" aluminum voice coil with CCAR winding supports high power handling and improved heat dissipation during extended high-power operation, while the massive 425 oz ferrite magnet provides the motor force needed for high-excursion performance. The foam surround and aluminum basket support the moving assembly during demanding use, while 22.5 mm of one-way Xmax allows the 18-inch driver to achieve substantial cone travel and air displacement.
