Built for serious low-frequency performance, the DS18 CARBON12.1D 12" High Excursion Subwoofer is engineered to deliver massive bass output for high-powered car audio systems. Rated at 3,500 watts RMS and 7,000 watts maximum power, this high-performance subwoofer combines a high-excursion design with a rigid carbon-fiber cone and dust cap for powerful, controlled bass reproduction. Its dual 1-ohm voice coil configuration provides flexible wiring options, making it an excellent choice for high-powered amplifier systems.

The CARBON12.1D is designed to handle extreme power while maintaining reliable performance under demanding conditions. Its 3.5" aluminum voice coil former with CCAR winding helps provide improved heat dissipation, allowing the subwoofer to handle extended high-power operation. A massive 425 oz ferrite magnet supplies the motor strength needed to produce powerful bass, while the carbon-fiber cone and 6" carbon-fiber dust cap provide a strong, lightweight structure designed for controlled cone movement. The foam surround and aluminum basket further support the subwoofer's high-excursion performance and structural stability.

With 22.5 mm of one-way excursion, an 82 dB sensitivity rating, and a 10–200 Hz frequency response, the CARBON12.1D is built to deliver deep, powerful bass in high-output car audio applications. For maximum performance, it can be installed in either sealed or ported enclosures, with DS18 recommending approximately 1.3 ft³ for sealed applications or 2.0 ft³ for ported applications tuned to 35 Hz.
